Experiments in the digital music scene
Our project invites musicians, researchers, technology developers and people interested in culture and the arts to work together to redefine the boundaries of live music and explore the possibilities of the digital world. Read on to discover the exciting experiments we will be undertaking together, and why these experiments are important for shaping the future of live music and exploring new ways of interacting in the digital space.
About the project
We believe that by using digital technologies, even more people can be actively involved in concerts, regardless of their location or physical limitations. This allows us to take another step towards “culture for all”.
Currently, digital concerts are often offered as a supplement to live events. People watching from home often feel left out and social interaction can suffer. That's why we want to optimise the digital format by jointly testing different concert formats using technologies developed in Germany, such as Soundjack and FeedBeat. This could lead to a more vibrant experience and create a sense of community.
In order to investigate the effectiveness of digital participation in the concert scene, we would like to collect your musical and social experiences using a questionnaire. Your participation is very important to us! It will help to further develop the concert scene. You can find further information about the survey under "Information". We would be very pleased if you would take part.
Information about the study
As part of our study on digital participation in the concert scene, we would like to ask you to take part in a short survey. Participation in the study is voluntary. We have designed the survey so that you can fully enjoy the concert and participation in the study does not disrupt your concert experience.
Anyone who understands German or English.
The questionnaire consists of two parts:
-
First part: This part should be completed during the break. It only takes about 5 minutes and relates to your musical experience of the last piece before the break.
-
Second part: Please fill out this part after the concert. This is about your musical experience of the last piece of the concert, as well as your overall concert experience. This section will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
We are holding various concerts for the study. Please look under "Upcoming Events" below and register for the concert of your choice under "Registration". You will then receive an invitation email from us.
Thank you for your participation!

Back us
To deliver high quality digital concerts, we need your help. Many specialists are involved in the production of these events - from camera operators to sound engineers to video mixers and, of course, the musicians themselves.
The cost of producing and staging these concerts can be considerable. That's why we're looking for sponsors who share our vision of an inclusive and accessible concert culture. With your financial support we can ensure that we can continue to offer high quality digital concerts that bring people together regardless of their location or physical limitations. Donations help make our work possible and are a step towards "culture for all".
